Grocery chain Albertsons Inc. said on Friday it was reorganizing its supply chain and food operations, as U.S. supermarkets face greater competition from discounters.
The company said Chief Technology Officer Bob Dunst will take responsibility for reorganizing the supply chain, while Clarence Gabriel, formerly executive vice president of supply chain and Asset Management, is leaving the company.
