Oil Steadies as Supplies Increase

Oil prices were steady on Thursday after the U.S. government released data showing a slight increase in domestic crude inventories.


Light sweet crude for February delivery rose 3 cents to $59.84 a barrel in morning trade on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude was trading at $57.69, an increase of 5 cents on the ICE Futures exchange.
