Oil Falls on Build in Supplies

Oil prices fell Wednesday as fresh government data showed supplies of oil, gasoline and heating oil rose last week.


Light sweet crude for January delivery fell 73 cents to settle at $59.21 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Heating oil futures fell by 3.54 cents to close at $1.7366 a gallon while gasoline fell 1.59 cent to finish at $1.5676 a gallon. January natural gas futures settled 21.1 cents higher at $13.70 per 1,000 cubic feet.
