Business Journal Receives Press Club Awards

The Business Journal was recognized last week by the Los Angeles Press Club’s annual awards competition.

Reporter David Greenberg won first prize in the Business category (under 100,000 circulation) for his coverage last year of the Southern California supermarket strike.

Placing second was the newsroom staff for the paper’s special report on “L.A.’s Hidden Money.” Second place also went to Editor Mark Lacter for his commentaries, and to former reporters Michael Thuresson and RiShawn Biddle for a special report on the video game industry.

Honorable mentions went to Reporter Amanda Bronstad for her coverage of Los Angeles International Airport and the newsroom staff for the “Rich Kids” portion of last year’s Wealthiest Angelenos edition.
