Shameful Discrimination

I wish any of these business owners Earl Ofari Hutchinson was speaking of who refuse to hire blacks could be black for five minutes! (“Good News, Bad News for Black Businesses,” Sept. 27.)

What on earth was the constitution written for? Who does it apply to? Blacks helped to build this country! The very people who will not hire them are often in denial about subtle racism. Latinos and Asians come to this country for a better life, and are often treated better. Most importantly, Asians and Latinos come from very poor countries and will work for a fraction of what a black person should be paid.

There are just as many educated, qualified blacks able to be CEOs, CFOs, bankers, brokers, etc. But we always have to be better to get ahead.

It is astounding the technological advances this country has made, and America is still not color kind nor color blind. No race is better than the other.
