WHAT’S NEW IN B E V E R LY H I L L S

IF you’re holding a meeting in L.A. this year, and looking for something new to recommend for your out-of-town guests, Beverly Hills has a number notable new attractions. In the last year, nearly three dozen new businesses– from restaurants and clothing stores to hair salons, jewelry salons and antique shops — have opened in Beverly Hills’ famous Golden Triangle.

The venerable restaurant Chasen’s re-located to 246 North Ca & #324;on Drive from its long lived history on Melrose. Wolfgang Puck has opened two very unique restaurants in town: Spago Beverly Hills, located at 176 North Ca & #324;on Drive, is an Italian favorite and famous for its pizza and ObaChine, located at 242 North Beverly Drive, offers creative cuisine from the Pacific Rim.

Hollywood Legend, Merv Griffin, opened the colorful Coconut Club, a big-band and swing dance supper club. The club is open every Friday and Saturday night and it is located in the Beverly Hilton Hotel at 9876 Wilshire Boulevard. Another chic new hangout is Nic’s, a martini bar and restaurant, located at 453 North Ca & #324;on Drive.

The 124-room deluxe L’Ermitage Hotel re-opened with state-of-the-art amenities which include cellular phone, fax machines in each room, spa and a rooftop terrace with a spectacular view of the city. The luxury hotel is located at 9291 Burton Way.

This year four retail spaces have opened on Rodeo Drive alone. These shops include: Holland & Holland, an English sporting apparel for men and women, located at 440 North Rodeo, Lacoste, a French sportswear for men, women and children, located at 447 North Rodeo, famed New York beauty and hair salon, Fr & #233;d & #233;ric Fekkai, opened at 440 North Rodeo, and Tommy Hilfiger opened a two-story, 20,000-square-foot flagship store featuring men’s and women’s apparel and accessories at 466 North Rodeo.

High quality men’s and women’s apparel, Fa & #231;onnable, opened at 9680 Wilshire Boulevard. Tartine et Chocolat offering luxury clothing, accessories and furnishings , for children ages infant to six years, opened at 316 North Beverly Drive. Tesoro, specializing in home accessories and gifts, is located at 401 North Ca & #324;on Drive.

Beverly Hills is continually growing and changing with shops re-locating, expanding and opening. Vidal Sassoon is re-locating from Rodeo Drive to Ca & #324;on Drive. Gucci is in the process of expanding their flagship store on Rodeo Drive. In addition, Fogal, La Perla, Max Mara, Marina Rinaldi and Jimmy Choo will be opening in the next year.
