Millicent Boudjakdji

Age: 57

Net Worth: $780 million

Source of Wealth: Inheritance

Residence: Los Angeles

Millicent Boudjakdji’s low-profile lifestyle is in sharp contrast to that of her grandfather, media mogul William Randolph Hearst, who lived his life very much in the limelight and inspired the Orson Welles classic “Citizen Kane.”

The daughter of David Whitmire Hearst, Boudjakdji sits on the board of both the philanthropic Hearst Foundation and the private family company, Hearst Corp. The latter’s holdings include 16 magazines, such as Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and Redbook, 12 daily newspapers, including the San Francisco Examiner, and numerous assets in the new-media industry and real estate.

Last August, Hearst Corp. was catapulted into the leading ranks of broadcasters upon merging with Argyle Television Inc. to form Hearst-Argyle Television Inc. The company reaches 11 percent of U.S. households, and the Hearst Corp. is the majority shareholder.

Boudjakdji is married with three children. Although she lives primarily in Los Angeles, she has residences outside the state.
