The 100 fastest-growing private companies in L.A. County range from high-tech firms with $500 million in revenues to small textile plants and international seafood distributors. Annual revenues of at least $10 million were required for inclusion on the List.

With 22 entries, high-tech related businesses form the largest single group on the List. This category includes software developers, computer manufacturers, resellers and distributors. Out of the top 25 companies on the List, nine are involved with computers or computer-related products, and these nine saw a combined average growth of almost 200 percent over the last three years.

Perhaps more surprising is the fast growth of L.A. companies that make industrial products parts and components or machinery used by other companies. There are 15 such manufacturers on the List, the second-highest category after technology.

The San Gabriel Valley has the largest number of fast-growing private companies. Of the 100, 24 companies are located there, including eight high-tech businesses. The City of Industry is headquarters to six companies.
